Program Details

The online Master of Science in Higher Education program is designed for educators seeking advancement to mid-level leadership positions in higher education or organizations with educational programming.  Courses include:

  • Design, Assessment, and Response to Social Media and eLearning Structures
  • Strategic Planning, Program Evaluation, and Institutional Research
  • Legal and Political Considerations of Institutions of Higher Education
  • Diversity, Inclusivity, and Social Justice in Higher Education
  • Resource Management and the Economics of Higher Education


  • Undergraduate degree in education from an accredited college or university (Individuals with other degrees may be accepted at the discretion of the director of graduate studies.)
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or an average of at least 3.0 for no fewer than nine semester hours of graduate credit at an accredited graduate institution (Probationary status may give to eligible applicants not meeting the 3.0 average.)
  • Official transcript of undergraduate and graduate work
  • Statement of intent
  • Other materials may be required
