Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Leadership Studies prepares teachers as leaders who will become instructional leaders as well as school and community leaders in a variety of roles.  These professionals will learn to serve as strong role models to their students, student parents, and fellow colleagues as they strengthen all aspects of their work as professional educators.


  • Undergraduate degree in education from an accredited college or university (Individuals with other degrees may be accepted at the discretion of the director of graduate studies.)
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or an average of at least 3.0 for no fewer than nine semester hours of graduate credit at an accredited graduate institution (Probationary status may give to eligible applicants not meeting the 3.0 average.)
  • Official transcript of undergraduate and graduate work
  • Statement of intent
  • Other materials may be required
