Program Details

The online Master of Science in Education with a concentration in Special Education teaches educators how to serve students with a variety of needs, including learning, behavioral, and communication.  The curriculum prepares teachers to understand, identify, and plan appropriate strategies to help more students succeed.


  • Undergraduate degree in education from an accredited college or university (Individuals with other degrees may be accepted at the discretion of the director of graduate studies.)
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or an average of at least 3.0 for no fewer than nine semester hours of graduate credit at an accredited graduate institution (Probationary status may given to eligible applicants not meeting the 3.0 average.)
  • Official transcript of undergraduate and graduate work
  • Statement of intent
