Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in School Library Media program is designed to prepare school librarians to manage library media centers, collaborate with faculty to reinforce school curriculum, and aid in literacy among students.  Standards for school library media specialists are determined by the American Association of School Librarians.  Standards are:

  • Literacy & Reading
  • Information & Knowledge
  • Advocacy & Leadership
  • Program Management & Administration

Requirements

  • Transcripts verifying Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or a Master’s degree
  • Documentation of current teacher licensure
