Marian University is a four-year private Catholic school located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The school was founded in 1851 by the Sisters of St. Francis as a teacher training school that would serve the educational needs of the German-Catholic residents of southern Indiana. After many name changes over the years, Marian College became Marian University in 2009.
