Program Details

Manhattan Christian College offers a Certificate of Biblical Leadership program for those that are not interested in a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Leadership degree. The certificate program is designed for students that would like to pursue a career as a lay minister or other position that does not require a BS degree. The certificate program can be completed entirely online and offers flexible course schedules. Manhattan Christian College provides experience and professional instructors that will teach students the required leadership expertise for many church positions.

The Certificate of Biblical Leadership program will require students to complete 21 credit hours in order to graduate. Within those 21 credit hours, students will have to take 15 credits of Bible/Theology courses and 6 credits within Leadership/Ministry courses. The Bible/Theology courses offered during the program are Survey of Old Testament Literature, Life and Teachings of Jesus, Christian Beginnings, Interpretation, and Basic Christian Doctrine.  The two Leadership/Ministry courses that will be offered during the program are Introduction to Teaching and Preaching and Biblical Foundations of Leadership. Students within the online certificate program will take two eight-week courses per term with two terms per semester.  Students will have about 14-15 hours of coursework and assignments each week.

Online certificate program students will not be eligible for federal financial aid. Students will also have to buy the Logos Bible Software: Bronze Edition. The software will be used within many of the program's Bible courses.
