The online Skill Specific Certificate in Information Technology / Web Programming - Level 2 provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to use computers to solve business problems. Eligible students for the Level 2 skill specific certificate must also have a valid Web Programming Level 1 certificate as a prerequisite. The curriculum focuses on teaching students the use of site design, architecture, search engine optimization and development, deployment, maintenance and support of the Internet.
Graduates will be qualified to work in various positions such as webmaster, web designer and web developer.
Complete a minimum of 5 credit hours and a maximum of 20 hours with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Students can apply approved industry standard certifications or similar courses taken at an accredited college towards this certificate. Students must take a minimum of 25 percent of the total credit hours at Macomb.
