The Skill Specific Certificate in Information Technology / Programming – Database Programming provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to become successful in entry-level programming positions. Students who fulfill all certificate requirements will be qualified to accept employment offers in areas where they will function as a systems analyst or a business application programmer.
Complete a minimum of 5 credit hours and a maximum of 20 hours with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. Students can apply approved industry standard certifications or similar courses taken at an accredited college towards this certificate. Students must take a minimum of 25 percent of the total credit hours at Macomb. Approximately 80% of the program is available online.
