Master of Divinity
Luther Rice College and Seminary offers a Master of Divinity that is well suited for students who wish to fulfill a rewarding life in ministry. Students will gain in-depth knowledge on ministry, the Bible, church history, counseling, missions, theology, preaching, and much more. Individuals will be able to use their knowledge in a church setting or within other related environments. Students may complete this program with electives or with biblical languages. Graduates who earn this degree often work as senior pastors, military chaplains, assimilation/membership pastors, pastors, church administrators, missionaries, teaching pastors, linguists, religious authors, or in other related positions.
The Master of Divinity Program consists 90 total credit hours. Students are required to finish required core courses in order to successfully complete the program. Students will explore core course topics in areas such as Biblical Studies, Historical Studies, Theological Studies, and Ministerial Studies. Those who wish to complete this program with Biblical Languages will study Greek and Hebrew. Courses that are offered through this program are expertly crafted to ensure that graduates will be knowledgeable, competent, and well rounded while working in churches and in other environments.
Courses for this program are available online. This online learning environment provides flexibility for enrolled students who are employed or have other obligations. Students must be highly disciplined to complete a large amount of coursework. Time management, a reliable internet connection, and word processing skills are very important for students who enroll in this degree program.
