Master of Arts in Christian Studies
Luther Rice College and Seminary offers a Master of Arts in Christian Studies that is well suited for students who wish to enhance their knowledge of the Bible in Bible, Old Testament, New Testament, theology, research, and much more. Individuals will be fully prepared to work in various positions within churches or other related establishments. Graduates who earn this degree can expect to find employment in churches or religious establishments. Individuals often work as theologians, missionaries, teaching pastors, senior pastors, administrators, curriculum development personnel, professors, religious consultants, or in other related positions.
The Master of Arts in Christian Studies Program consists of 36 total credit hours. Students are required to finish required core courses in order to successfully complete the program. Core courses that students must complete include: Introduction to Research and Writing, Introduction to Biblical Hermeneutics, Introduction to the Old Testament, Old Testament Book Study, Introduction to the New Testament, Systematic Theology I, New Testament Book Study, Systematic Theology II, Old Testament Book Study, Systematic Theology III, New Testament Book Study, and elective courses. Courses that are offered through this program are designed to ensure graduates will be knowledgeable, competent, and have a well rounded set of fundamental skills while understanding and interpreting the word of God.
Courses for this program are available online. This online learning environment provides flexibility for enrolled students who are employed or have other obligations. Students must be highly disciplined to complete a large amount of coursework.
