Master of Arts in Apologetics
Luther Rice College and Seminary offers a Master of Arts in Apologetics that is well suited for students who wish to enhance their specialized knowledge on the Bible in order to defend the truth of the Christian faith. Students will gain in-depth knowledge on the Bible, logic, ethics, apologetics, theology, world religions, and much more. Individuals will be fully prepared to work in various positions within churches or other related establishments. Graduates who earn this degree can expect to find rewarding employment in churches or other related establishments. Individuals often work as apologists, authors, missionaries, global evangelists, college pastors, conference speakers, pastors, community outreach personnel, or in other related positions.
The Master of Arts in Apologetics Program consists of 36 total credit hours. Students are required to finish all required core courses in order to successfully complete the program. Core courses that students must complete include: Introduction to Research and Writing, Introduction to Biblical Hermeneutics, Foundations of Apologetics, Logic, Science and Faith; Foundations or Ethics, Biblical Apologetics, Theological Apologetics, Issues in Ethics, Philosophy of Religion, Major World Religions, Modern Religious Sects, Apologetics Practicum, and a Thesis in Apologetics. Courses that are offered through this program are expertly designed to ensure that graduates will be knowledgeable and competent while working in positions within religious establishments or other related organizations.
Courses for this program are available online. This online learning environment provides flexibility for enrolled students who are employed or have other obligations. Students must be highly disciplined to complete a large amount of coursework.
