Luther Rice College and Seminary offers a Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a Ministry Minor that is well suited for students who are interested in gaining knowledge about the Bible. This degree focuses on ministry aspects that are important to the foundation of Christian establishments. Students will gain in-depth knowledge on writing, communications, theology, the bible, sociology, ethics, ministry, literature, philosophy, and much more. The Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a Ministry Minor Program consists 120 total credit hours. Students are required to finish general education courses, ministry preparation courses, biblical studies major courses, ministry minor courses, and elective courses. Biblical studies courses that students must complete include: Biblical Interpretation, Personal Evangelism, Spiritual Formation, Church History, New Testament Survey, Life of Christ, Acts; Revelation, Old Testament Survey; Genesis, Survey of Theology I, Survey of Theology II, and Christology. Ministry minor courses include: Introduction to Biblical Counseling, Survey of Christian Missions, Leadership; Pastoral Work, Principles of Biblical Exposition, and Principles of Church Administration.
Courses for this program are available in an online format. This type of learning environment provides flexibility for enrolled students who are employed or have other obligations. Skills such as time management and word processing are very useful for this program. Students are also recommended to have a reliable internet connection.

Luther Rice University and Seminary (LRU) is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS), having been awarded reaffirmed status as a Category IV institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on November 28, 2005; this status is effective for a period of ten years.
Luther Rice College and Seminary is a private, four-year Baptist institution located in Lithonia, Georgia. The school’s mission statement is “to provide theological education for Christian ministers and leaders around the world with an end to granting undergraduate and graduate degrees.” The educational experience offered is designed to “instill biblical core values essential to excellence in Christian ministry and leadership.” In mid-1962, the State of Florida granted a charter for a seminary to be placed in Jacksonville, Florida, and Luther Rice University was created. In 1991, the Seminary moved from Jacksonville to Lithonia, Georgia. The name of Luther Rice Seminary was changed in 2004 by the action of the Trustees to Luther Rice University.
Luther Rice awards bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees. Students can earn a degree exclusively through online studies, through traditional classroom format, or in a hybrid format. Almost 300 online courses are offered per year, which are delivered through secure servers using Blackboard and standard Internet connections.
