Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Christian Worldview Minor
Luther Rice College and Seminary offers a Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a Christian Worldview Minor that is well suited for students who wish to enhance their specialized knowledge on the Bible. This degree focuses on the interpretation of culture and the advancement of the Christian faith through communities. Students will gain in-depth knowledge on writing, communications, theology, the bible, sociology, ethics, literature, philosophy, and much more. Individuals will be fully prepared to work in churches or other related establishments. Individuals often work as apologists, christian authors, global missionaries, college pastors, young specialists, associate pastors, church planters, conference speakers, or in other religious related positions.
The Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a Christian Worldview Minor program consists of 120 total credit hours. Students are required to finish general education courses, ministry preparation courses, biblical studies major courses, Christian worldview minor courses, and elective courses. Biblical studies courses that students must complete include: Biblical Interpretation, Personal Evangelism, Spiritual Formation, Church History, New Testament Survey, Life of Christ, Acts, Revelation, Old Testament Survey, Genesis, Survey of Theology I, Survey of Theology II, and Christology. Christian Worldview Minor courses include: Critical Thinking, Philosophy of Religion, Worldviews, Principles of Philosophy, Apologetics, and Creationism.
Courses for this program are available online, where learning environment provides flexibility for enrolled students who are employed or have other obligations. Students must be highly disciplined to complete a large amount of coursework.
