Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Administration
Luna Community College offers an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Administration. This degree is well suited for individuals who desire an entry level job in a variety of business related agencies. Graduates of this degree will have gained knowledge of financial management, concepts in marketing, computer applications, and ethical procedures in management. Students will be able to analyze financial information, understand accounting principles, apply the importance of ethics in decision making, and many other business administration related tasks. The A.A.S. Degree in Business Administration program requires a minimum of 63 credit hours that can be completed in at least two years. Credit hours for this program include general education core courses, program related courses, and elective courses. Students will be required to complete 28 general education core credit hours. General education course topics students will explore include communications, mathematics, fine arts, and sciences. Program related courses students are required to complete consist of 26 credit hours. Program related courses include topics such as accounting, introduction to business, computer fundamentals, principles of management, business ethics, and principles of marketing. Electives are also needed in order for enrolled students to receive their degree. Students must pick 9 credit hours from topics such as Quick Books, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Desktop Publishing, web design, business law, human resource management, principles of small business management, e-commerce, business writing, and administrative office procedures.
Due to the primarily online learning environment used for this program, students should have basic computer skills and a reliable internet connection. This online learning environment provides flexibility for enrolled students who are employed or have other obligations.

Luna Community College is a two-year public school located in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Luna Community College (LCC) was founded in 1970 as Luna Area Vocational Technical School. LCC is the only community college in northeastern New Mexico. The college’s name comes from Maximiliano Luna, who was Speaker of the House of Representatives for the Territory of New Mexico in 1899.
Luna Community College offers certificates of completion and associate’s degrees. Classes are offered during the daytime, evening, weekends, and online.
