Program Overview

Lubbock Christian University offers a B.S. in Organizational Leadership Degree which is well suited for students who have an Associate’s degree and want to develop effective leadership skills to be applied in a variety of different career fields. Graduates will gain knowledge in accounting, statistics, and marketing. In addition to this valuable knowledge, graduates will develop effective leadership skills that will assist them in improving performance within organizations. Students who graduate from this program can expect to find employment in business management, human resources, career planning, training/development, and many other fields. By earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership, it gives students a jumpstart in their professional career.

The B.S. in Organizational Leadership Degree program consists of 120 total credit hours. These credit hours consist of major courses, core courses, supporting courses, and elective courses. A minimum of 60 credit hours may be transferred into the program to count towards the degree. Applicants who do not meet this minimum 60 transferable credit requirement may not be considered for the program. Students will be required to complete 36 credit hours of major courses. Course topics students will explore within this major include case study analysis, organizational behavior and theory, systems in organizational communication, human resource management, managerial finance, personal values and organizational ethics, leadership, organizational theory, leadership in organizations, innovation and change management, special topics in leadership, and principles of management. These courses are designed to give students highly effective leadership skills and an advantage in today’s highly competitive job world.

Due to the primarily online learning environment used for this program, students should have basic computer skills and a reliable internet connection.  This online learning environment provides flexibility for enrolled students who are employed or have other obligations. Applicants must have at least a 2.1 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) for 60-89 of the last credit hours attempted or at least a 2.25 GPA on the last 90 or more credit hours attempted. Students must submit their official transcripts, a copy of their resume, and an essay with their application form in order to be considered for the B.S. in Organizational Leadership Degree program.
