Master of Divinity
Loyola University Chicago

Program Details

The online Master of Divinity program meets the needs of individuals interested in professional ministerial leadership. Students will learn to provide spiritual leadership by preaching, teaching, counseling, consoling, and offering pastoral care. You will be prepared to serve and challenge others, lead prayer and praying, empower and equip, prophetically point to injustice, and faithfully organize for needed changes. The curriculum helps students learn a new genre of pastoral leadership, cultivating a ministerial way of being through academic and formational requirements that match the Church’s traditional seminary setting. Graduates are ready to mediate and to augment the Christian Tradition, acting as generalists grounded in the faith tradition and as specialists with interpersonal and spiritual skills that empower others in special settings.
