Master Public Health in Epidemiology
Loyola University Chicago offers a Master Public Health in Epidemiology Degree for students interested in starting a career in clinical and public health research. Students will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a researcher. This one-on-one experience provides students with hands-on training in research methods.
The Master Public Health in Epidemiology Degree Program consists of 44 credit hours that includes core courses, program specific courses, and elective courses. The program specific courses for this program include courses in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Multivariate Modeling. The Practicum and Capstone are also a part of the core program specific courses. Students must enroll in 8 credits of elective courses. A practicum must be completed by students in order to graduate from the program. During the practicum, students are required to complete a research project.
Courses are available online and in a classroom environment, which are held once a week from 6-9 p.m. at the Maywood campus. These courses are combined with online courses for students who desire a more flexible experience. Students interested in this program should have basic computer skills in order to complete the program. Due to the partial-online nature, students should have reliable internet connection while taking this course.
