Master of Arts in Christian Spirituality
Loyola University Chicago

Program Details

The online Master of Arts in Christian Spirituality from Loyola University Chicago deepens the students’ knowledge of God and self. The curriculum equips students for meaningful and holistic living and ministry that meet modern personal and social challenges by joining contemplation and action. The program uses the Ignatian approach to spirituality and spiritual formation, so it is grounded in personal relationships with God/Christ, addresses the needs and issues of current times, is ecumenical in its appeal to all Christians, and adapts to each person’s uniqueness.

You have the option of completing a concentration in Spiritual Direction as well. This concentration prepares spiritual directors to facilitate the regular, on-going practice of accompanying people as they attempt to deepen their relationships with the divine.
