Master of Health Administration
Louisiana State University Shreveport offers a Master of Health Administration which enhances student’s knowledge of the health field. The information students learn during the program prepares them for middle and upper level management positions within the health field. Students enrolled in this program may potentially find employment in various different health related agencies. The Master of Health Administration program holds international accreditation by the leading agency for business schools in the United States, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). This degree is also accredited by The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
The Master of Health Administration consists of 10 required graduate level courses. The program has the capability to be completed in one calendar year. Students may enroll as a full-time or part-time student during any semester. The 10 required Healthcare courses for this program include Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Systems, Law and Ethics, Marketing, Informatics, Finance, Economics, Policy, and Strategic Management. Three foundation courses are also required for this course. Foundation courses include Accounting Concepts, Foundations of Economics, and Business Communication. It is highly recommended that students finish the three foundation courses before they enroll into the program and begin their Healthcare courses. Accounting Concepts and Foundations of Economics must be completed before enrolling in the program. This online learning environment allows students to have a flexible experience while working towards their degree.
Applicants to the Master of Health Administration must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and a GMAT score of 450 or higher.
