Business Communication Certificate
Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Medical College offers a Business Communication Certificate which gives students the opportunity to further their skills in the business world. The Business Communication Certificate provides students with tools to assist them in management, marketing, customer service, and many other business related positions. Communication skills are particularly important in today’s business world. Students enrolled can expect to gain the communication skills to give them an advantage within their potential careers. This program consists of 15 credit hours that can potentially be finished in at least one semester. Students will take five total courses: four required courses and one elective course. All courses are available online through LSU’s distance learning program. This allows students to have a flexible experience while working towards their degree.
Admission to this program requires a non-refundable $25.00 fee. Applications can be filled out online or by mail. Students who want to enroll must complete the requirements within a four-year time period. Students who wish to transfer credits may only transfer one 3-credit hour course from another university. However, credits transferred from LSU’s Evening School or Extension Credit programs do not fall under this 3-credit hour limit. An official transcript must be sent to the university in order for credits to transfer. Students must have earned at least a “C” on these courses
The Certificate of Business Communication will only be awarded to students who earn at least a “C” in each of the five required courses. When students have completed the program they must send a notice of completion to LSU IDL and pay a $10 completion fee when the certificate is awarded.
