Program Details

Lone Star College System offers an online liberal arts degree, the Associate of Arts.  This is a transfer liberal arts degree which is designed to lead to a Bachelor of Arts degree.  With the start smart 2+2 program, you can transfer the credits earned for these two years to an in-state university and begin your bachelor’s degree at the junior level without the high-cost of all four years at the university.  In addition, students who successfully complete this liberal arts degree will receive the associate of arts degree.  

The curriculum consists of basic general education requirements that are typically completed in the first two years of a baccalaureate degree program.  There are several options for specialized Associate of Arts degrees, including:
