With the increased number of people turning to plant-based diets or plant-based food choices, there is a growing need for professionals with training in the area.  This online nutrition degree is a competency-based program developed for dietitians and other healthcare professionals seeking a greater understanding of plant-based diets. 

Aligning with the core legacy of vegetarian nutrition, this curriculum promotes the use of plant-based diets for chronic disease prevention, health, and longevity.  Receive didactic training in nutritional science with a focus on the role of plant-based diet patterns, plant foods, and nutrients with respect to promoting health and sustaining the planet.  Courses, taught by recognized leaders in the field of vegetarian and plant-based nutrition, use an evidence-based approach to applying the principles of plant-based eating for the health of both the individual and the population.

This online nutrition degree can serve as a stepping stone for a Ph.D. in Nutrition.
