Criminal Justice AA Degree
The Criminal Justice Program at Lindsey Wilson College is an interdisciplinary program designed to prepare graduates for careers in the three main substantive areas of criminal justice: courts, corrections, and policing. The courses are offered on eight- and 15-week schedules during fall and spring semesters, a three-week schedule during the winter term and three-, four-, seven-, eight- and 15-week schedules in the summer.
Students will gain a solid foundation in the field of criminal justice if they wish to complete a B.A. in the future.
The Criminal Justice degree is ideal for those wanting to enter the field of criminal justice but not sure where to begin, or are nontraditional students. The online program allows students to work at their own pace, while allowing students who need to work from home or have full time jobs to get the theoretical training necessary to pursue a career in the field.
The A.A. in Criminal Justice degree can be completed in 64 credit hours and typically takes two academic years to complete. The A.A. prepares students for careers in the three main areas of practice in criminal justice: corrections, policing, and courts. Additionally, students are required to choose between the emphases of Law Enforcement and Legal upon completion of core courses.
