The Associate of Arts in Philosophy is a transferable program offered by Lincoln Land Community College in Illinois. Other suggested courses that count as requirements for this degree include: HUM 101 Introduction to Humanities, PHI 201 Introduction to Logic, PSY 101 Introduction to Psychology, SOC 101 Introduction to Sociology. Additional classes in Humanities, Mathematics, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences are required.
The courses recommended to fulfill requirements in this major are PHI 204 Introduction to Philosophy, PHI 205 Ethics: Morality and Contemporary Values, and PHI 210 World Religions. A student pursuing this degree is encouraged to take four courses in a foreign language starting from the introductory class to the intermediate classes.
The recommended time frame for completion of this degree is over the course of four semesters. Four to six courses each semester should be taken to fulfill requirements in this time span. Students must take 63 credit hours to complete this program.
