The Fire Tactics and Strategy I Certificate of Completion is a one-course occupational program offered by Lincoln Land Community College in Illinois. A certificate of completion is a form of recognition awarded by a community college for meeting minimum occupational course requirements. This certificate of Completion could be used to prepare a student to successfully complete the Fire Tactics and Strategy I exam given by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

Concepts covered in the course include principles of coordinating fire ground tactics through the use of human resources and equipment.

The skills and knowledge acquired through this program of study is appropriate to the requirements as specified by the Office of the State Fire Marshal. This course will prepare students to take the Office of the State Fire Marshall Fire Tactics and Strategy exam. This exam is necessary to become an officer.

Prerequisites include courses in Fire Science Technology or a certificate in Firefighting II or a Basic Operations Firefighter certification or an equivalent.
