The Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Lincoln Christian University will refine your understanding of the mission field and equip you to serve in whatever culture God places you—whether that’s rural, urban, local or overseas. This degree was designed to enrich your relationship with Christ and your understanding of God’s Word, enable you to lead with wisdom and integrity, and equip you to embody Christ in your research. As a student at LCU, you’ll learn about the growth of global Christianity. You’ll develop a biblical and theological philosophy of missions that grows out of our Christian heritage and that applies to your current situation. You’ll gain the tools you need to understand and engage culture wherever you are. You’ll study with faculty who know where theory and reality meet—because they’ve served as missionaries in the past.

    School Overview

    Lincoln Christian University is a four-year private school located in Lincoln, Illinois, between Chicago and St. Louis. LCU was founded in 1944 as Lincoln Bible Institute. In 2009, the school changed its name to Lincoln Christian University and also established the Hargrove School of Adult & Graduate Studies, which offered its first completely online master’s degree. LCU is affiliated with the Christian Church and the Church of Christ, but accepts students from a variety of church traditions and backgrounds. The school’s mission is to “nurture and equip Christians with a Biblical worldview to serve and lead in the church and the world.”

    Lincoln Christian University offers certificates of completion, associate’s degrees, bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and doctor’s degrees. Classes are offered during the daytime, evening, and weekend. Online and hybrid programs are offered in an accelerated format that lasts about six to seven weeks.
