Program Details

The online Undergraduate Certificate in Christian Service from Lincoln Christian University is designed for lay leaders.  The program equips lay leaders with the basic Christian skills and Biblical-Theological knowledge needed to serve as leaders in the local church.  Students will gain foundation in Bible and Theology and learn basic ministry skills for service in the church.  Courses are flexible and affordable with professors that have years of experiences serving in similar roles. 

The curriculum includes these courses:

  • Introduction to the Bible
  • Interpreting the Christian Scripture
  • An Introduction to Worldviews
  • Basic Christian Beliefs
  • Foundations of Christian Ministry
  • Evangelism, Discipleship, and Faith Development


  • Official transcripts
  • Essay
  • SAT, ACT and/or CLT scores
    • not required for nontraditional students (those who are married, 23 years or older, or determined by LCU to be placebound)
  • One reference/recommendation
  • TOEFL score (for applicants whose first language is not English)
