Bachelor of Science in Human Resoures Training and Development
The Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Training and Development program from Limestone College prepares its graduates for Human Resource careers, further education, and the Human Resource Certification Test. This program affords students the skills involved in the attraction, selection, training, assessment, and rewarding of employees for an organizations workforce. Jobs such a training instructors, training materials developers, and training managers are just some of the career opportunities offered to graduates with this degree. The Human Resource Training and Development major also affords all of its students a minor in Business Administration to better prepare them for future Human Resource endeavors.
This program requires students to take classes not only in the Human Resource subject area, but also in Computer Science, Psychology, Economics, and Business Administration. Students are also required to take General Education classes such as courses in History, English, Fine Arts or Foreign Language, Social Sciences, Math, and Science. These Liberal Arts classes are to ensure the student receives a full and well-rounded education from Limestone College. General education courses also serve to broaden a student’s thinking and problem-solving skills by expanding their base of knowledge.

These courses give students the proper foundation for understanding the field of Human Resource Training and Development as well as the skills needed for problem solving and leadership positions. An internship is required for graduation with this degree. HR 490 counts as three credits and must be approved by the department.
The Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Training and Development from Limestone College is also offered via their Extended Campus and Virtual Campus programs. These programs offer classes on eight separate campuses across South Carolina as well as on the Internet. The Extended Campus has special reduced tuition, which makes costs reasonable and affordable for non-traditional students. Students with a military background who take classes on the Internet are afforded a discounted rate in course costs.
