Program Details

The Undergraduate Certificate in Health Sciences offered by Liberty University is available to students in a completely online format. This program aims to provide training that allows students to expand his or her medical knowledge and skills. The program is intended for individuals interested in starting or enhancing their careers in the healthcare industry. This program of study covers foundational concepts and skills involved in the Health Sciences in order to help a student become a more marketable candidate for employment opportunities in this field.

The Health Sciences certificate for undergraduates requires students to complete 18 credit hours (six courses) in order to receive the certificate. The required courses include: Introduction to Health Professions, Personal Health, Drugs in Society, Human Nutrition, Introduction to Public and Community Health, and Principles of Behavior Change and Health Counseling. These courses aim to prepare students with the basic knowledge of Health Sciences.

All of the required courses must be taken through Liberty University. Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Students cannot earn a D in any class.
