Liberty University’s Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Christian Leadership – Next Generation Ministry is designed to help prepare Christian leaders for exciting ministry opportunities to youth and college-aged students. Liberty’s Ph.D. in Christian Leadership – Next Generation Ministry is intended for both students who have not yet begun their ministry journey and seasoned veterans in the ministry field. Students in this program will study biblical and theological foundations for leadership, group and team dynamics, and ecologies of Christian formation. In addition, students will write and defend a dissertation in the field of Christian ministry that furthers the boundaries of knowledge within the field. By earning a terminal degree in Christian leadership, you can prepare for careers in the nonprofit sector, including careers at ministry organizations, churches, and universities. Students who graduate from Liberty’s Ph.D. in Christian Leadership – Next Generation Ministry may be better prepared for careers as youth pastors, next generation pastors, campus and community engagement coordinators, campus pastors, or postsecondary educators.
