Program Details

With the PhD in Advanced Educational Studies focused on Instructional Design and Technology, you can enhance your existing EdD degree. The focused coursework and research component will expand your expertise in instructional design. Up to two-thirds of EdD credits can be transferred into this program, allowing completion in less time.

Students will study and conduct original research in areas such as cognitive development, design and implementation of distance learning programs, and evaluation and assessment strategies. Graduates, armed with the ability to understand the ways in which students learn, will be able to develop effective learning products and processes. Participants will also gain practical skills in communication with various stakeholders.
