Liberty’s 100% online Master of Science in National Security gives law enforcement and government professionals specialized training in the cutting-edge techniques needed for national defense and maintaining peaceful operations for American interests worldwide. Through the M.S. in National Security, students will study uses of diplomacy, intelligence, and military assets to develop policy and regional stability in times of crisis and upheaval. Students in this program will engage with military history, essential political theory, and public policy analysis that apply to real-world conflicts. With an emphasis on case studies and threat scenarios, students will learn how defense budgets and economic strategy affect security operations in the real world. Students can apply these skills in both the private and public spheres through public service roles in national security agencies, state and federal law enforcement, policy writing and advocacy, and the private security field. Graduates of the M.S. in National Security will be well-equipped for roles as defense program managers, state or federal law enforcement officers, foreign affairs officers, public administrators, intelligence analysts, policy consultants, political analysts, elected officials, and higher education teaching.
