Program Details

Liberty University’s Education Specialist program is designed to prepare competent and effective leaders, like you, with a Christian worldview who will model high academic standards and assume a leadership role in the field of education. Courses provide specialized preparation for individuals seeking credentials for K-12 or university-level school positions. You will develop the skills necessary to assume a facilitating role in accomplishing the goals and objectives of an education system. This degree program is well-suited for the professional educator, like you, seeking a salary increase or who has a desire to pursue a doctoral degree. As a student of this program you may choose a specialization along with your core courses in educational leadership.

Requirements

  • Official college transcripts
  • Master's degree with a 3.0 GPA from an institution that is accredited by an agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education

Accreditation & Licensing

Liberty University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. This is the regional accrediting body for southern states.

Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP)

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) now administers both NCATE and TEAC accreditation. Current accreditation status under NCATE and TEAC for education programs will continue through the accreditation term, during which they will be CAEP Eligible.
