Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership
Liberty University

Program Details

The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program at Liberty University is designed to instruct current professionals who are interested in increasing their career marketability and broadening their knowledge within the field of education. The doctorate program integrates research, application and examination techniques within the course of study to enhance the student’s professional expertise. Through this curriculum, students will be trained to become adept leaders and gain experience making balanced decisions. Upon graduation, students should be prepared to be efficient leaders within possible careers as a superintendent, college instructor, principal, curriculum director or university administrator.

The online format of the Ed.D. program has been developed to provide a challenging yet flexible course schedule for students. The majority of the program is offered online; however, the program does require students to attend campus to complete intensives. Intensives are accelerated one-week courses that allow students to interact with other doctorate students and faculty during workshops and classes. The program specifies which courses may be taken as one of the student’s three required residential intensives.
