Liberty’s 100% online Bachelor of Science in English and Writing – Christian Literature combines the love of Christian literature with marketable writing and creative thinking skills needed to succeed in the world of writing. This program provides practical training in critical thinking, technical writing, grant writing, and methods of research. With the Christian literature area of study, students will also develop their own writing style by studying techniques and masters of the art. They will examine some of the well-known and lesser-known works of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien as well as the works of early and modern Christian writers. The skills they gain will help equip students who want to meet the writing needs of their industry or to become freelance writers in any discipline. With content developed in partnership with New York Times best-selling author Karen Kingsbury, students will learn how to be successful as an author, screenwriter, blogger, and producer. Students who earn Liberty’s B.S. in English and Writing – Christian Literature will be well-equipped for writing roles such as independent authors, editors, journalists, professional bloggers, and non-licensed teachers.
