Liberty’s 100% online Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Real Estate is designed to prepare students with the specific skill set they need to enter the field of real estate business: knowledge of the market, negotiation and communication skills, and business management skills, all rooted in biblical values. This program is designed to benefit both students with previous real estate experience, and those desiring to enter the field for the first time. Students who have worked in real estate before or possess any professional certification in the field may be able to transfer in that experience for college credit, allowing up to 30 credits of life and work experience to be used toward the degree. Through this program, students will learn both the basic and advanced concepts needed for success in competitive markets and they will gain insight into business from professors with years of related experience. Students will learn valuation and appraisal techniques for residential and income-producing properties, study the legal aspects of residential and commercial real estate, and gain practical understanding of contracts, mortgage foreclosures, zoning, risk management, and ethical issues in real estate. Graduates will be well prepared for careers as land appraisers or assessors, commercial lenders, construction project managers, land development managers, leasing agents, mortgage loan officers, property managers, real estate brokers, and real estate developers.
