Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education in Interdisciplinary Studies

Program Details

Liberty University has designed a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education degree program with an interdisciplinary studies focus to suit the busy lifestyles of working professional students in an online format.

Students with a desire to gain further insight into the foundational principles of education will learn the necessary skills to enter an education program. The B.S. in Early Childhood Education will equip students with a firm understanding of early educational development and behavior to advance in career aspirations. The program gives students the opportunity to achieve individualized career goals while observing the discipline of education from a Christian perspective, and establishing a firm understanding of early childhood educational development and behavior. The theories and methodology of Christian education will assist those who wish to proceed into work within Christian schools, churches and home schooling.Students of the program will also study current trends practiced in private and public schools, while evaluating methods for differentiated learning and direct instruction.

Accreditation & Licensing

Liberty University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. This is the regional accrediting body for southern states.

Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP)

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) now administers both NCATE and TEAC accreditation. Current accreditation status under NCATE and TEAC for education programs will continue through the accreditation term, during which they will be CAEP Eligible.
