Program Details

Liberty University’s 100% online Associate of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics is a 60-credit-hour degree program that is designed to equip students with a foundational knowledge of civil liberties, economics, government, and political philosophy. Through a curriculum that includes courses on classical economics, dilemmas in socialism and Marxism, philosophy, modern politics, and constitutional government, the associate degree in PPE seeks to create well-informed, well-rounded citizens who think critically about how politics, economics, social structures, and culture inform and affect one another. This program will likely appeal to young people interested in government, law, or public policy, but not interested in beginning their careers upon graduation from this degree program. This degree may also be appealing to people simply in search of a degree program that will further develop their understanding of PPE. While this degree is best utilized as preparatory study for a bachelor’s degree program, students who pursue this degree can obtain a foundational knowledge that prepares them for careers in economic analysis, government, law, or public policy.
