Bachelor of Health Care Management
LeTourneau University's Bachelor of Health Care Management prepares its graduates to be effective leaders in the health care industry by offering health care management courses that emphasize health informatics, regulation and accountability in health care, marketing health care services, as well as organizational behavior and financial analysis. The Health Care Management program at LeTourneau University is ideal for current health care professionals who work in direct patient care and want to move into managerial positions.
Health Care Management major courses offered at LeTourneau University include Management and Leadership OR Organizational Behavior, Financial Analysis for Managers, Managing Human Resources, The U.S Health Care System, Health Care Delivery Systems, Legal, Social, and Ethical Aspects of Health Care, Regulation and Accountability in Health Care, Marketing Health Care Services, and Integrating Faith and Work in Health Care. Major elective courses offered include Health Care, Business, Management, Health Informatics, Small Business Management, and Business Research Methods. General education courses include The Bible, Communications/Speech, English Composition, Literature, History, Humanities/Social Science, Math (College Algebra or above), and Natural Science.
In total, 36 credit hours of general education courses, nine credit hours of major elective courses, 27 credit hours of health care management major courses and 52 credit hours of general elective courses are needed in order to complete degree requirements (124 credit hours total).
All courses are faith-based and strongly strive to integrate faith into discussions of all topics. LeTourneau University offers its Bachelor of Health Care Management degree entirely online. Students are able to take classes around their work schedules and daily routines. Additionally, evening classes are offered once per week at the Dallas location.

LeTourneau begins its faith statement by declaring “a deep faith in God is the cornerstone of LeTourneau University.” This private not-for-profit university began as an all male college in 1956 by R.G. and Evelyn LeTourneau in Longview, Texas. It transitioned to a co-educational facility by 1961. It is an interdenominational Christian-based organization that welcomes students from all denominations.
