Program Details

LeTourneau University's Associates of Science in Health Care Management provides a foundational understanding of health care management. The Health Care Management program at LeTourneau University focuses on up-to-date concepts concerning health care policy, governance, and delivery of care in a variety of settings.

The Associates of Science in Health Care Management curriculum incorporates ethical, legal and social aspects of health care as well as aspects of marketing, regulation and accountability. Management courses emphasize how to effectively lead small and large teams as well as promote a basic understanding of budgeting and financial analysis.

General education courses offered at LeTourneau University needed to meet degree requirements include The Bible (6 hours), Speech (3 hours), English Composition (6 hours), Literature (3 hours), History (3 hours), Social Science/ Humanities (3 hours), Math (3 hours), Natural Science (3 hours) and Orientation (3 hours). Health care courses include The U.S Health Care System, Health Care Delivery Systems, Legal,Social, and Ethical Aspects of Health Care, Regulation and Accountability in Health Care, Management and Leadership OR Organizational Behavior, Managing Human Resources, and Financial Analysis for Manager.

In total, students will take 33 credit hours of general education courses and 30 credit hours of major courses to total 63 credit hours.

Students are able to take evening courses during the week at either the Dallas or Houston LeTourneau University locations. Additionally, all courses are offered online and are made flexible to fit each individual's personal schedule. LeTourneau University is an interdenominational Christian university and as such, provides a faith-based educational experience in all degree programs, including the Associates of Science in Health Care Management.
