Associates Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies
The Associates in Interdisciplinary Studies degree at LeTourneau University is designed for students who are looking for a well-rounded general education. All classes are taught through a Christian perspective. LeTourneau University is an interdenominational Christian university that strives to integrate faith into every degree program offered. The school places emphasis on how to interweave one's faith with one's chosen profession.
Students have the option of either taking all courses online or at the Longview, Houston or Dallas LeTourneau University locations in Texas. Longview is the main campus of LeTourneau University and boasts a diverse student demographic of over 13,000 students. All campuses have qualified educational instructors who are willing to help each individual student succeed.
The Associates in Interdisciplinary Studies degree at LeTourneau University is designed for students who are not yet ready to commit to earning a bachelor's degree. However, if a student decides to pursue a bachelor's degree, LeTourneau University will transfer every credit hour earned from the associates degree toward a bachelors degree in either business management, business administration, education or psychology.
General education courses offered for the Associates in Interdisciplinary Studies degree program at LeTourneau University include The Bible (6 hours), Communications/Speech (3 hours), English Composition (6 hours), Literature (3 hours), History (3 hours), Mathematics (3 hours), Natural Science (3 hours), Natural Science (3 hours), and Social Science/ Humanities (6 hours). Courses such as History, Literature, Government, Political Science, Sociology, Philosophy, Anthropology, and Economics are considered Social Science/Humanities credits.
Students will need to complete 33 credit hours of general education courses and 30 credit hours of elective courses in order to obtain a degree.
