Program Details
The online Associate of Science in Aircraft Dispatch program prepares students to plan flights, evaluate weather, ensure aircraft are loaded properly, and determine that all aviation regulations are complied with for every flight. The curriculum includes courses in aircraft dispatch, flight science, and meteorology for pilots while also teaching students how to work closely with many members in the airline’s operations center to ensure the flight can be completed safely. Examples of careers include ATC Coordinators who work as liaisons between the airline’s operations center and the FAA’s Operations Control Center, Crew Schedulers who make critical decisions to ensure work legality requirements are met, and Business Aviation Flight Planners who plan unique flights.
