Program Overview

Lesley’s B.S. program in Business Management prepares students for a variety of leadership positions in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. The courses and training give students the skills needed to successfully and creatively manage among diverse teams and organizations. The program’s flexibility and online availability makes it perfect for both persons who want a Lesley education without relocating and for persons who are currently employed full- or part-time.

This Bachelor’s program requires students to complete 120 credits of courses. More specificially, the program necessitates 33 credits of required business courses (such as Foundations of Management, Economics, Accounting, and Social Responsibility), 42 credits of Liberal Arts requirements, and 45 courses in “free electives”. While any elective course can be used to meet this requirement, students are encouraged to take some of the management electives, which include negotiations, business law, and marketing.

Lesley University allows students to transfer up to 90 credits into this degree program. The university also notes that students may use “Prior Learning Assessment” as credit, meaning that students who bring prior work related experience may be able to use that as credit toward their degree. Students who think they may have experience that qualifies are encouraged to take the PLA course where faculty will guide students on filling their portfolios with the information necessary to gaining credit for their experience.
