Certificate in Supply Chain Management
Lehigh’s Certificate in Supply Chain Management program, taught by professors with years of market experience, focuses on all aspects of the movement and coordination of goods, services, and information in a business setting. The program’s courses place an emphasis on customer focus, product differentiation, and cost management. Students of the program have the chance to not only learn from Lehigh’s qualified faculty team but also participate in industry case studies so as to provide real-world experience to the skills and knowledge they clean from the courses.
The SCM certificate is a 12-credit program made up of four courses. Those courses are Strategic Supply Management, Transportation and Logistics Management, Demand and Supply Chain Planning, and Applied Supply Chain Models. Courses can be taken completely online, and students can begin taking courses at the beginning of any semester.
Students of the program also have the option of going through the program for credit or not for credit. Students who choose the non-credit option go through the courses and receive their certificate upon completion, while for-credit students are expected to do a bit more. For-credit students must apply to the University, complete coursework for grades, and also take proctored examinations. Students who choose this option receive master’s level credits on a Lehigh transcript and the opportunity to transfer these credits into the school’s Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) program in addition to receiving their SCM program certificate. Information on how to apply can be found on the school’s website.
