Program Overview

Students who may be interested in learning about the management process within different business environments may wish to consider Lehigh Carbon Community College’s certificate in Business Management. Students will be required to take 32 credits to complete the program. Students should acquire skills necessary to describe the business enterprise concept, including ethical considerations, and being able to produce conventional written business communications.

Students will be enrolled in 11 classes over the course of two semesters and one summer session. The courses students will take an array of courses within the business sector. Some of these courses include: Principles of Accounting I and II, Business Law I, and Principles of Marketing, among others. While in these courses, students will learn how to exemplify certain managerial procedures, implement basic accounting procedures and principles, and explain how to successfully apply legal principles in different business areas.

Graduates of this program may potentially obtain entry-level jobs in the business field, management-trainee positions, or actually become business owners. However, additional education or training can help students climb the corporate ladder. Some students decide to use this certification to experience a small part of what a 2-year or 4-year degree would be like in Business Management. Lehigh Carbon Community College strives to offer courses that may easily transfer into a 2 or 4 year degree program at another university or college.

    Lehigh Carbon Community College is a two-year public school located in Shnecksville, Pennsylvania. LCCC was founded as Lehigh County Community College in 1966 and constructed new facilities to hold classes in 1972. The college changed to its current name in 1994 to increase enrollment form the nearby Carbon County.

    LCCC offers two-year associate degrees, certificates and specialized diploma programs, and workforce training for students studying either full-time, part-time or online. Classes are offered during the daytime, evening, and weekend.
