Ministry Leadership--Pastoral Emphasis BA
Lee University offers a variety of degree programs to give students a working knowledge of the necessary skills involved in the workforce. A Ministry Leadership degree with a Pastoral Emphasis is a program that may be ideal for any student aspiring to work in a church, become a priest, or teach religion.
The degree is broken up into 5 sections to ensure students a well-rounded education. The first section is the Religion Core. Student will be required to complete 18 credit hours in these classes. The next section is dedicated to the General Education Core. This section requires 42 credit hours and has several subsections. The 3rd section is for Ministry Leadership Specialty Area, in which students are required to take 30 credit hours of classes. The 4th section is for the Pastoral Ministry Emphasis of the degree in which students are required to take 24 credits. Some of the courses involved in these classes are: Introduction to Christian Ethics, Conflict Management and Problem Solving, and Legal Foundation for Church Leaders.
General electives must also be taken, and will encompass six credits. Students have the option to further personalize the degree by choosing two 3-credit courses outside the realm of religion and ministry leadership. These courses may be found in the Lee University course catalog. For further assistance in choosing these courses, student may consult with university academic advisors.
