Bible and Theology BA
At Lee University students are given the chance to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Theology. This degree encompasses a variety of courses to ensure students have an adequate understanding of the Bible as well as progressive history of God revealing Himself to humanity following the fall and throughout the Old Testament and New Testament. It particularly focuses on the epochs of the Old Testament in order to understand how each part of it ultimately points forward to fulfillment in the life mission of Jesus Christ.
The degree is organized in five different sections. The first section requires 18 credit hours in courses such as: Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Methods of Bible Study (DAL), Introduction to Theology, Introduction to Christian Ethics, Doctrine of the Holy Spirit.
The second section encompasses 42 credit hours to suffice the General Education Core. This section is divided into five areas, which are as follows: Humanities, Communications, Social Science, Natural Science and Mathematics, and Foreign Language.
The third section requires 36 credit hours in a “Specialty Area.” Students can personalize the degree by choosing between approximately 30 courses.
The fourth section is called the “Collateral Requirements.” Students’ will chose Gospel of John (DAL) or Synoptic Gospels as well as Introduction to Missions, Contemporary World Religions and more.
The final section is saved for general electives in which students can chose any electives outside the scope of the major as long as they add up to nine credits. The total credit hours required for gradation is 120.

Lee University is a four-year private school located in Cleveland, Tennessee. The school was established in 1918 as a Bible Training School until 1947 when the name was changed to Lee College. The school was granted university status in 1997. Lee has become one of the largest Christ-centered private institutions in Tennessee and the largest in the Appalachian College Association.
Lee University offers bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and post-master certificates. Academic programs are made up of four colleges and schools:

Online classes are offered through the division of Adult Learning using a program called Moodle. Courses are offered fully online, in an intensive format (hybrid online and onsite mix), or fully onsite at Lee education centers. Several undergraduate and graduate degrees are offered completely online, as well as certificates in ministry.
