Lawrence Technological University offers an Undergraduate Certificate in Building Information Modeling and Computer Visualization for those interested in relatively new technologies, building information modeling and computer visualizing.
This program requires 12 credits. The courses each student will take are as follows: Electric Methods I-III and Advanced Revit. Throughout these classes students will be able to work with different programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Studio Max and gain hands-on experience with these highly sophisticated programs. Students will learn how to not only use the programs, but also be able to apply the knowledge learned and utilize these programs for any architectural work.
The main objective of the degree is to teach students how to help architects, engineers, contractors, etc. visualize the design of the project they are working on. Certification in Building Information Modeling and Computer Visualization provides students the skill set they need to work in the architectural design field.
The degree is offered entirely online to ensure flexibility for all students.

Lawrence Technological University is a four-year private school located in Southfield, Michigan. In 1932, the Lawrence brothers founded the school as the Lawrence Institute of Technology to be a school of engineering.
