Sport Hospitality Management Certificate
Lasell College offers a Sport Hospitality Management Certificate for professionals in sports and related fields whose credentials can be advanced through study and accreditation in sport hospitality. Students will study practical topics relating to how sports teams and sports venues operate, as well as the process of leading, managing, and administrating sports organizations related to providing hospitality services. Students will learn about the regulations and operational functions of sport hospitality services, relating to sports facilities, sports events, and sports sales.
Students will learn about the administration of sports organizations and specialize with a curriculum involving the management and administration of sports events and sports facilities. Those classes include introduction to sports hospitality, planning and management of sports facilities and special events, sports sales strategies and customer satisfaction, media relations, fundamentals of executive development, and more.
Students completing the program will have demonstrated the necessary educational and professional qualifications for roles relating to the administration of sports events and sports facilities. These qualifications include but are not limited to: the ability to demonstrate effective professional and interpersonal practices essential in the business of sports administration, to develop a range of professional strategies that promote their effectiveness in a business environment, and to demonstrate ethical, legal, and responsible behavior toward sports competitions and understand the role that sports organizations have in society.

Candidates to the certificate programs must hold a bachelor’s degree and submit an application for study in the graduate program along with all necessary documents.
Lasell College is a four-year private school located in Newton, Massachusetts. Lasell College was founded in 1851 as the Auburndale Female Seminary, a nationally respected women’s academy, by Edward Lasell. Lasell died the first semester that the school was running. The name changed to Lasell Seminary for Young Women and was known as an innovative institution that had a radical approach (for the time) to women’s education. In 1932, the school’s name changed again to Lasell Junior College and became Lasell College in 1989.
Lasell College offers bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees. LC has traditional classes as well as online courses. Lasell’s graduate programs are flexible and convenient, so students pursue an advanced degree that fits into their personal and professional lives. All master's degrees are offered online with six start dates throughout the year.
