Master of Science in Management - Elder Care Marketing
Lasell College offers the Master of Science in Management degree with a specialization in Elder Care Marketing for professionals in business interested in the methods utilized to market services and products for the elderly and the aged. Students will learn about elder care products and services, such as housing and care options available to older adults and will study the needs of individuals at various stages of age and by doing so, prepare for roles in marketing those services. In addition, students will learn about gerontology and the stages of physiological, psychological, social, and environmental changes that occur at various stages of the aging process.
Students will learn and develop their skills through a curriculum which involves classes that focus on specialized marketing education. Students will learn topics taught from the following classes: fundamentals of executive management, operations management, housing and long-term care options for older adults, social gerontology, policy and politics of elder care, housing and long-term care, services and programs for older adults, and human resources management.
Students completing the program will have demonstrated their professional and educational qualifications in marketing services and products related to elder care. Some of the qualifications individuals will gain over the course of the program consist of: the ability to demonstrate the ability to utilize learned knowledge to market toward seniors and the elderly, to demonstrate effective professional and interpersonal practices essential in marketing, to develop a range of professional strategies that promote their effectiveness in a business environment and to demonstrate ethical, legal, and responsible behavior when marketing to seniors and the elderly.

Lasell College is a four-year private school located in Newton, Massachusetts. Lasell College was founded in 1851 as the Auburndale Female Seminary, a nationally respected women’s academy, by Edward Lasell. Lasell died the first semester that the school was running. The name changed to Lasell Seminary for Young Women and was known as an innovative institution that had a radical approach (for the time) to women’s education. In 1932, the school’s name changed again to Lasell Junior College and became Lasell College in 1989.
Lasell College offers bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees. LC has traditional classes as well as online courses. Lasell’s graduate programs are flexible and convenient, so students pursue an advanced degree that fits into their personal and professional lives.
